Melbourne Water has developed a unique educational discovery centre in Edithvale, designed by Minifie van Schaik Architects. The centre teaches visitors of all ages the workings and history of this urban wetland and the role it plays in the water-cycle. The interior contains an interactive gallery providing views of the vast wetlands through panoramic windows.
Our design team created a fun, interactive and educational information graphics system for visitors of all ages. We used a strong palette of colours and playful iconography to enhance the learning experience. The educational panels were constructed using Tasmanian Oak Crown Cut and printed with UV inks, giving a tactile and hands on result.
