Every winter the State Library of Victoria relive the joy of summer by turning their Experimedia room into an outdoor cinema, indoors.
Principle Design was engaged to create a typographic installation to attract library visitors into the cinema. In collaboration with the State Library of Victoria, we designed a sign that incorporated Outside-in Cinema’s complimentary lollypops. Visitors take a lollypop from the installation on their way in, and by the end of the night the letters evoke glitchy digital type, neatly connecting with the Experimedia room’s technological focus.
